The stars have had two weeks to recover from their Golden Globes hangovers - but it's still a month to go until the Oscars - so what's a starlet in a Versace gown to do? Why, the SAGs of course! While 'actors' will be handed out tonight for the best performances of the year in movies and TV, we'll be running a fine tooth comb over the best and worst red carpet performances. Click through the gallery to see which celebrities looked stunning and who left us stunned for all the wrong reasons.

The Global TV broadcast system Canada ....blew it,,they lost half of the program and don't know about 'taping' and re-broadcasting the event in its entirety, ,,These same clowns also intend to broadcast the Grammy awards.

extremely irritated at Global, why do we have to watch canadian broadcasts of a show that's shown on U.S. networks....we always lose some of the contents because they cut to it too late or in tonight's case,

nearly an hour freaking ridiculous..makes me want to go get an antennae and screw the dish and cable.....

Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Garner are beyond the diminishing label of "starlet", and Amanda Seyfried now has a lead in a major film, so she is too. We don't call young male actors just breaking into big lead roles "hunklets", so please avoid this terminology.

Jennifer Lawrence looks elegant and age-appropriate in this navy gown. She sported some lovely gems to spice it up.

You didn't mention Sigourney Weaver's dress.  Ugly satin dress and no bra.

Can't Vergara seem to find anything that covers a little more of her chest area. Every picture of this female has way too much showing. I know she doesn't enjoy being 40, but for god's sake, cover up what he gave you and show some decorum.

Very sorry to disagree,  that dress looks frumpy on the charming Alexis.

A gentleman as slender as Mr. Redmayne should not wear such snug-fitting clothes as evening wear. It just accentuates the skeleton, which I, for one, don't want to see.

Not really, anyone over the age of 60 should have covered arms and minimal decolletage. I agree, the colour is divine.

Why did Kidman even bother dressing. I can see practically every nook & cranny she owns, and they (she) ain't pretty. Not in the least.

Your proposed changes would help, but the portion above the waist needs a complete restyle. Ms. Moore has a fine bosom, but now it needs a little more support.

I agree, I don't want to count Justin's ribs, or spot his love handles when he is wearing a suit.

If you want to call Anne Hathaway out for the sheer skirt on her dress, maybe you should actually show this flaw in the photo you have put up. The gown looks just great from this angle...

She looks good and this is a for someone of her age.great look

Am I the only one that can see she could have benefited from  wearing a SPANX?????? You can see her belly button and panty line where the top of her legs are...ill-fitting if u ask me..blah!

Really, serious side boob??  They are sagging,  why not the aluring leg??

"Flapper hair" is cropped between the collarbones and the jawline, commentator. Her hair is 1940s style, and yes, it looks stunning, just 2 decades later than your reference.

You can't call it aging gracefully, ie Sally Field, when there's a lot of poison in the system to get that way.

One of my favourite actresses on TV these days, Sofia looks stunning in this gown. Thanks for this great photo.
