Award season is officially upon us and, as the precursor to the Academy Awards, the Golden Globes are kicking things off with a night of glitz, glamour and an open bar. If the Oscars are the wedding day of awards shows, then the Golden Globes are its wild, wake up in Vegas bachelor party and, as the night's emcee's Tina Fey and Amy Poehler would say, it's one of the few places where the beautiful people of film can rub shoulders with the rat-faced people of television (the less said about the foreign press the better). Really? Is this the best reporting you can do? Should they be criticized for all they do, say and wear? Yes these people are actors, there are no bad ones just some a little better than others. You try getting up in front of the world and tell how grateful and thankful you are for an award in front of lights, cameras, people etc, etc. It is my opinion that they did a wonderful job once again entertaining us. If there were parts of the show, their films or their clothing that 'you', whomever you are did not like keep it to yourself. Who cares what you think anyway.

I watched the Golden Globes, and have to say I saw things differently. For starters, the Kristin Wiig/ Will Ferrel sketch was probably the funniest comedy bit in the entire show, and wondering how this reporter did not 'get' it. Award recipients were humble and gracious for the most part (except for Tarantino).
