And Royal Baby Watch begins! Clarence House has confirmed that Wills and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are expecting their first child.

The office of the Prince of Wales confirmed that Kate was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital in Central London with morning sickness on Monday afternoon and is expected to stay in hospital for the next several days. The release also mentioned that “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news.”

The official announcement ends over a year of speculation as to when Prince William and Kate Middleton would start a family.
