Young Buck begins prison sentence

The former G-Unit bandmember was arrested in 2010 after authorities discovered the weapon during a raid on his Tennessee home during a raid to repossess his belongings as part of a financial dispute over more than $300,000 in unpaid taxes.

The star, a convicted felon who is banned from owning a weapon, faced up to 10 years behind bars for the offense, but he reached a plea deal with prosecutors - and agreed to serve less than two years in prison.

He was officially handed the sentence last month (Jul12) and had until 13 August (12) to turn himself in.

Young Buck, real name David Darnell Brown, decided to start the term early and reported to authorities at Yazoo City Medium Security Federal Prison in Southern Mississippi on Monday (06Aug12), reports TMZ.com.
