Canadian pop singer is pictured signing autographs for fans as she leaves the ITV studios following a guest appearance on the Daybreak show.

Singer Avril Lavigne was forced to cut short a London concert after losing her voice on stage - following a 'bad day' which started with a security scare.

The Canadian star arrived on stage at the Hammersmith Apollo 30 minutes late, with the audience being told 'mechanical difficulties' had led to the delay.

And then her voice gave way while she was singing her hit tune Complicated, before she told the crowd she was having a bad day and could not perform anymore.

The 26-year-old later took to her Twitter page to apologise for the incident.

She wrote: "Today was just one of those days - I had a bad situation right before the show that made me scared for my life - then I lost my voice tonight.

"I feel super sad but I want to thank my fans for understanding and always being there for me. I love u all more then u know."

Lavigne confirmed on her Facebook page that there had been 'a breach in security' and the incident was being dealt with by the police.
