Good attention or bad attention is still attention, and it's that simple people. We have all seen it a hundred times and have lived it as well.
A child acts out in a bad way and gets disciplined for it. In her / his head it's still attention and will seek it again in the same way. When the attention stops she / he will go further to get the attention she / he seeks over their siblings.
Now throw in siblings that are doing the same things as she / he are doing to get the attention (in thier heads attention = approval), and you have all the ingredients needed for poor Lindsay to the same mistakes as everyone did when they were younger. Throw in parents that are doing the same thing she is to get attention from the media, and give her an seemingly endless cash flow and it may never stop.
She still hasn't grown up, and most likely won't. I blame Lindsay for being a child and nothing more. I blame the media and ourselves for giving her what she want's every time.
