I was thinking that Hayden Christensen would make a great Christian. He’s tall, dreamy, and oh so sexy w/that touch of vulnerability that’s needed to play Christian. He definitely has the strong, control freak, dark side thing going on. He would be such a great choice because he’s a great actor, and it would be a surprise because he’s not one of the all of the actors who’s getting all the buzz on the net these days. Please not Ryan Gosling or Channing Tatum they really are kind of cheap snots and not good actors at all.

i can very much see Christian Bale playing this role, and his looks from American psycho came right to mind. He was who i was envisioning while i read ......the unfortunate being he might look a little older than the 28 years of Mr Christian Grey Ana is who i drew blank with, i think an unknown should be cast who is exactly as she is described...I vote a definate NO to Kristan Stewart her acting is painful at best he movements are always the same and not pure enough looking to be Anastasia.

I really think either Ian Somerhalder or Matt Bomer are two of the best choices, they are both tall, dark and handsome! A woman for Ana is a much harder choice, I think casting directors might have to do a little digging and find someone completely new who fits the description of shy, girl next door type pretty Anastasia. It will be a pretty hard role to fill, it could make or break the cast. Also I wanna know who will fill other major key important roles as the story has many important supporting characters.

The whole time I was reading I pictured Ian Somerhalder as Christian and Chyler Leigh (only with blue eyes) as Ana. Can't picture the characters any other way now, I don't think the movie would have the same effect for me if they were played by anyone else. I'm sure I could still manage to watch though, as long as Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have NOTHING to go with the film... that would truly ruin it.

Ian Somerhalder fits christians description exactly! not only does he need to look like him but he needs to be able to act out the role and I think he can! Since Ana is a young girl simple never overdone, Mila kunis would be a good fit she looks young yet is very pretty in a simple way like Ana.

Okay so I haven't read the books properly but I will soon enough, and when the movie comes out I wanna see it. BUT if Kristen Stewart has anything to do with it I will so NOT go anywhere near the cinema. @maddibear is right, her acting is painful and I feel like someone is psyhically torturing me when shes on screen, plus shes nowhere near as beautiful as Ana is described to be. I ****g hate Twilight urgh!!

I have read the Fifty Shades Trilogy, it was fabulous. In my opinion Joe Mananiello should play the part he has the height, the body the longish hair the strong facial features, just lose the whiskers and if he hasn't got the intense blue eyes put in contacts and he would be perfect.
As for Anna Steele I think Katherine McPhee would be an Ideal choice but with grey contact, she comes off as the girl next door; but, could be a bit of a smart ass. Just like Anna was; but, Anna had heart and softness to her as well.

Kristen Stewart would be absolutely amazing in this movie!! She fits the role of Anastasia beyond perfect. She is SO talented and obviously I would say Robert Pattinson to play along side her just because their chemistry on screen is beyond amazing and watching them together on screen - you just can't take your eyes off them!
