Demi Moore announces plans to end her 6 year marriage to Ashton Kutcher
LOS ANGELES -- Demi Moore is ending her marriage to fellow actor Ashton Kutcher, she told The Associated Press Thursday.
Moore, 49, and Kutcher, 33, were wed in September 2005.
The couple's relationship became tabloid fodder in recent months as rumours swirled about Kutcher's alleged infidelity.
"It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation," according to her statement to the AP.
The pair frequently used Twitter to communicate with each other as millions of fans followed along -- even amid rumours of Kutcher's infidelity. The day before their sixth wedding anniversary, Moore ominously quoted philosopher Epictetus: "When we are offended at any man's fault, turn to yourself and study your own failings. Then you will forget your anger."
Moore and Kutcher created the DNA Foundation, also known as the Demi and Ashton Foundation, in 2010 to combat the organized sexual exploitation of girls around the globe. They later lent their support to the United Nations' efforts to fight human trafficking, a scourge the international organization estimates affects about 2.5 million people worldwide.
Moore was previously married to actor Bruce Willis for 13 years. They had three daughters together -- Rumer, Scout and Tallulah Belle -- before divorcing in 2000. Willis later married model-actress Emma Heming in an intimate 2009 ceremony at his home in Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos Islands that attended by their children, as well as Moore and Kutcher.

Dear Demi, deep in your heart U must have doubted that the marriage wouldn`t work because of the age difference. If U would have been the youngest you`d still be married. As soon as a man sees a sign of aging on a woman, its out to the girls he goes but a woman see a man beginning to have lots of signs of aging the are attracted to it and she feels secure because of the maybe father image etc....but beware, any situation has to be turned inside out ,and accept the consequences as it may turn out ahead of time cuz 90% of the time those consequenses do happen one way or the other.I feel for U Demi but you`re such a beautiful lady and somebody else will appreciate U but at
least take someone you`re age and more.Good luck and God bless!Mimi,so here`s a hug and a smile ((:-))
