Best cultural lesson
Zac Brown's collaboration with Gregg Allman of The Allman Brothers on the 1930 Hoagy Carmichael classic "Georgia On My Mind" proved that the DNA that connects genres -- in this case country and soul -- is undeniable, evolutionists be damned!

I think Martina McBride should have won. She has such a fabulous voice. I agree, those dresses were just horrible. Carrie Underwood must have spent most of the time changing into dresses. Was it a modeling thing????? Won't watch again. Some of the people that should have won didn't. Does not sound like country anymore. You can't even understand what they are singing.
I like to hear the singer -not the heavy metal guiter. The entire show was NOT country music the way I like it. To bad for me I guess. Taylor's solo was the hi lite. The Perry band is "COUNTRY"
The song done by Sugar Loaf sweetie was absolutely fabuluos & extremly sexsual, but I never understsood or head a word that was sung. Too bad for me, I just like good ol' front porch music
Sorry Iam old, and used to a good sound not a flashing guitar sounding like a jazz violin. I see no reason to watch the CMA Awards again. God Damn I am old
I agree that country music is no longer country but all about who can play their music the loudest. All that glitz is nonsense and who needs dancers that are barely clothed?
My country is nothing like this and I will never watch another music awards show. Bring back the real singers like Dolly, Kenny, Garth, Charlie and on and on.
I have my c.ds of my favorites and will listen to the country classics on the radio, thank you very much.
