While most kids are sporting hand-me-downs, our favourite mini-fashionista is running around town with a child-sized Ferragamo handbag worth more than what we spend on a month's rent. Only the best for Tom and Katie's baby girl, who's wardrobe consists of $25,000 tiaras, $750 Armani gowns and a $6,000 princess Halloween costume.

These people are selfish and self serving. Yea they give a little here and a little there, but ultimately they overindulge on a grand scale. Greed is greed.

it's kinda sad that parents of that stature would teach a child to be so shallow:(.....sure a costume for a child of even 500 is a bit much!!!! and the other 5,500 give to charity, teach her to be humble kind and caring....THIS TICKS ME OFF WHY DO PEOPLE LOOK UP TO THEM....AND WE WONDER WHATS WRONG WITH THE WORLD!!!!! GEES

When you earn millions $6000 is actually $6 or $60; you lose the point of reference of the common working people. You actually don't count anymore.

The reason they spend money on these things is because of stupid articles like this that further increase their popularity, make them more rich, and allow them the financial comfort to spend large amounts of money on basically whatever they want. Maybe if everyone stopped giving a **** about them, these kind of things wouldn't happen, or better yet, even matter to the general public. I know this article and others like it isn't what is actually making them rich, but the real question isn't why $6000 was spent on a child's Halloween costume, but who cares that $6000 was spend on a Halloween costume? Seriously, people have to get over this celebrity craze.

One thing I am not looking forward to seeing is Beyonce's baby, good LORD if it has the father's face instead of hers. That guy is one Fhugly creature! I see my eyes poppin' out like the Jim Carrey's The Mask for that one.

OH MY GOD $6000 for a kids costume. That certainly could of help feed allot of little kids mouths . SHAME ON YOU Tom and Katie.

...spending big money is how the "stars" attempt to feel good about themselves...they think they're so much better than everybody else... wearing the best fashions...driving the most expensive cars...and going to the most excessive extremes...when will they learn money just can't buy you happiness...or  a personality...which most of them lack because they can't read it off a script...we'll look back in years to come and wonder what became of these people and the grade "B" pictures they were featured in....ha...see ya' in the "funny pictures"...and don't forget to wipe that powder off your noses...

I no longer pay to see a movie (buy them used at Blockbuster).  I do not buy tabloid magazines (why, when all the gossip is online?).

Don't give them your money and they won't have our money to spend.

If I had that kind of money I'd be eating spam like a king.  Three cans of it a week at least.  I'd put a patch on my bike tire and buy a new seat  for it too, one of those really cushy padded ones, some new reflectors as well, some new handle grips too.  Some people might think it's a bit extravagant but I wouldn't care It's My Money and I will spend it as I see fit.

JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN, DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD.
It is neither right or wrong.  A choice can affect the balance of everything. 

Using one's money to be excessive with children can either damage their ability to be creative or make them feel like they are the centre of the universe and entitled. Both not conducive to helping them cope in the real world.
Some here, may respond negatively because of lack in their own life. I don't have that problem , my thoughts are with the child in this instance.

Unbelievable!!! Excessive?? Doesn't begin to cut it!! What a bunch of ridiculous people. If you have that kind of money do something constructive with it....like geez donate a LOT of money to starving people, the homeless and schools. It's a terribly sad commentary on our society when we pay celebrities such ridiculous amounts of money... for what???

I do not envy these kids ....they will turn into the Paris Hiltons, Lindsay Lohans, and Kim Kardashians of this world....pretty but completely useless. What an awful shame!!

The Kardashian clan is a JOKE!  What has Kim, or any of her siblings done to deserve such fame??  Well, maybe we could all start by not watching their horrible reality show, and maybe, just maybe their ratings will dip and cancel that terrible train wreck.

I come from a working class family; my parents went without so that my siblings and I ha****od education and have a more comfortable life. It took me ages to be approved for a student loan and now like most graduated I'm battling to find a job. Yes, I do get miffed when I read articles about these people who are so ridiculously over paid they have to resort to spending large amounts of money on frivolous things they don’t really need, and rubbing it in the regular hard working Joes face. Yes I do wish I was so lucky that I didn’t have to loose sleep over how I will ever manage to pay off my loan, make my parents finally want for nothing, afford a house one day etc… but I comfort myself in the fact that I am liked for what I am not for my moneys worth. I am glad that there aren’t any photographers waiting at the ready to splash my private heart aches and disappointments for all the world to see. Have a look through every celeb magazine and you’ll see boredom and unhappiness behind all the bling, for sure money cant buy happiness.

They're  making their money because we support it so we shouldn't complain. If we're all willing to pay about $15 for a movie ticket or buy all the latest DVD's we shouldn't complain. We also forget that celebrities are often used as advertising agents as well....I'm sure many of their red carpet wears or jewelry is given to them to advertise products that "we" purchase. Same goes for other items such as a celebrity endorsing a shampoo or even deodorant.
