Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are set to divorce after five and a half years of marriage.
The end of their relationship was announced via Katie's lawyer, who said: "This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family. Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."
It has also been claimed by TMZ that Katie filed for divorce citing 'irreconcilable differences' and has asked for sole custosy of their six-year-old daughter Suri. The news comes just days before Tom's 50th birthday, and the actor is said to be "deeply saddened" by the news.
Their split has come to a shock to the showbiz world and the public, who have watched Tom and Katie become one of Hollywood's most famous couple since they got together in 2005.

I was wondering when her contract would be up. She gave him a child and played the game of husband and wife as she was paid to, now she is free and rich. I believe Tom and John Travolta
are gay but their church of scientology does not accept this and claims to be able to cure them. We do see, however, it is not possible to change, you are born this way. You are what you are guys, quit the church and come out and be true to yourself and stop using these women. AMEN !!!
