Public memorial set for Jenni Rivera

Fans of the late Jenni Rivera have been invited to celebrate the life of the tragic star in a public memorial at Los Angeles' Gibson Amphitheatre on Wednesday morning (19Dec12).

The Latin singer's reverend brother, Pedro Rivera, Jr., will lead a special two-hour ceremony at the arena and a limited number of tickets have been made available online for devotees.

Those wanting to attend the Celestial Graduation will be allowed to purchase up to two tickets each for a refundable fee of $1 .

Previous reports suggested the memorial would feature a star-studded line-up, including appearances by rapper Snoop Dogg, longtime friend Gloria Estefan and actor Edward James Olmos, who co-starred in Rivera's debut film, Filly Brown.

A private burial will follow the service.

The California native died in a plane crash in Mexico on 9 December (12). Six other passengers on board the private Learjet 25 also perished in the accident.

The cause of the tragedy is currently under investigation.
