Rick Ross promises to return to North Carolina after axing gigs

The hip-hop star pulled two shows in the state, one in Greensboro and another in Charlotte, which were planned to take place on Friday (07Dec12) and Saturday (08Dec12).

No official reason was given for the cancellation, but rumors suggest the decision was linked to an alleged threat from a local gang following the publication of a video message warning Ross not to perform in the area.

The star has now taken to his Twitter.com page to reveal the concert's promoters were the ones who cancelled the shows, insisting he will be back to play in the state in the future.

He writes, “North Carolina, I wuz (was) so excited to perform tomorro (sic)... Promoters cancelled show but I’ll be back ASAP."
