Lutfi returned to the witness stand in court on Wednesday (24Oct12) as his civil defamation case against Spears' mom Lynne continued, and he used the opportunity to target the Toxic hitmaker's dad, Jamie, who currently serves as the co-conservator of Britney's estate.
During his second day of testimony, the one-time manager claimed Jamie had sent him a text message in 2007, in which he threatened to beat him up and put him in hospital.
The text reportedly read: "If and when I met u (sic) one thing is going to happen I am going to jail and u r (sic) going to the hospital."
Lutfi claims Jamie Spears later followed through with his alleged threat and, during a visit to Britney's California home, attacked him and punched him in the lower abdomen. Lutfi told the court he only managed to escape the reported beating by locking himself in a room.
The judge has yet to rule on whether the jury will be allowed to view the offending text as evidence, according to TMZ.com.
On Tuesday (23Oct12), Lutfi reiterated claims that Britney had shaved off her hair during her 2007 meltdown after becoming paranoid that authorities would test her follicles for drugs and use it against her in her child custody battle against her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Lutfi is seeking 15 per cent of his former client's earnings for the months he claims he is entitled to the fee and is also suing Spears' father for assault. He has also charged her mother for defamation over allegations she made about him in her memoirs, Through The Storm.
Britney will not be testifying in the trial.
