Ensemble movies are commonplace at the box office these days (see every Gary Marshall rom-com and superhero film from the last few years), but in this month's Movie 43 (out January 25), Relativity has promised moviegoers "the biggest cast ever assembled." And they aren't lying. Movie 43's cast list is so huge that it took four years to film in order to accommodate everybody's schedule. We're talking 11 directors, 15 writers, 12 storyline and, of course, 43 of the most formidable actors working today.
It’s an impressive production from a purely celebrity standpoint and it got us thinking of other movies we love where the stars align in one big ensemble. With A-lister pulling power and engaging storylines, here are some examples of why it's better to go big than go home...
