It's been a turbulent trek for The Hobbit over the past two years (or so equated by Shire-reckoning). With a game of musical director's chair, a bankruptcy, a lawsuit, a stomach ulcer, an industrial dispute and that case of alleged animal abuse, we're lucky to be getting a single Hobbit film from director Peter Jackson, let alone an unexpected trilogy. Now with those problems resolved, there only remains one obstacle to overcome, and that's Bilbo's perilous quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the dragon Smaug.
