It's out with the old and in with the new as 2013 offers up a confectionary stand of new cinematic delights to get your chops around. Thought we couldn't top 2012 for comic book adventures? The new year keeps the caped crusaders going strong with prequels, sequels, spin-offs and recycled titles galore. There's also a library stock of fairytales for adults and sci-fi space odysseys, though notably, 2013 will tender a new breadth of cinematic "greats," that being The Great Gatsby and Oz the Great and Powerful.

Will the hype be justified? We can reconvene in December 2013 to compare notes, but for now, here's the blockbuster playlist for the next 12 months.
