Madonna performs in a wedding dress
In an age of oversexed pop stars like Rihanna, Britney, and Christina Aguilera, Madonna's performance of "Like a Virgin" at the inaugural 1984 MTV Video Music Awards seems quaint by comparison. But keep in mind that this was Reagan-era America, a time when pop stars -- especially women -- were generally squeaky-clean and uncontroversial. So seeing Madonna roll around the stage of New York's Radio City Music Hall in a wedding dress cinched in by a Boy Toy belt, flashing her stockings and garters, marked a new, more provocative era in pop culture, for better or worse.
Horrible how Biebs fans reacted...he's a 20 min artist...she will go a long way.
The moments of "shock" mentioned here are about as powerfull as the one you would get from a dead AA battery. Give me a break and do some research dude.
