Ridiculous Continuum of Bad Canadian Sci-Fi: Continuum
Continuum is a new sci-fi drama that's shot in Vancouver and actually set in Vancouver, which is pretty cool. It's also got a cool premise: in 2076, corporations have taken over the government and a revolution to bring back democracy has resulted in the deaths of 20,000 innocents. But just as the revolutionaries are about to be executed, they time travel back to 2012 and accidentally bring a cop (Rachel Nichols) with them. If only Joss Whedon or J.J. Abrams had taken it from there. The pilot episode is deadly serious - no one cracks a joke or has any insights. Pairing Nichols with a teen geek who speaks to her over a frequency he's barely finished inventing seems like a neat idea until you realize there's no romantic potential to these intimate conversations. She's a married mom. Ew. I wish I could send this show back to the storyboard. Then it might have a chance at being good instead of being like every other crappy Canadian sci-fi series ever made.
Stupid Sh.. gets renewed and the GOOD stuff gets canned ...really... the 19 - 35 year old vote is the only one that counts ??????
As well as apparently wanting to date older guys now, reports are saying Selena Gomez gave no warning when she fired her parents as managers.
