"Chuck" is back from hiatus, and the Dec. 9 episode was the first in a back-to-back block leading up to the series finale on Jan. 27. Fans of the show will be tuning in to see if newlyweds Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) will retire from the freelance spy game before they're framed as terrorists by the government they used to work for. But Friday night channel surfers should also take this opportunity to get into the cutest little spy show on TV before it's gone. "Chuck" is a once-in-a-lifetime mash-up of "Hart to Hart," "The Million Dollar Man," "The Big Bang Theory" and now, if you can believe it, "Community." Danny Pudi made a cameo as an Indian model hired at Buy More electronics just to antagonize Indo-Jewish "nerd herder" Lester, who was serving time for poisoning a co-worker who bothered him. Yvette Nicole Brown also showed up for a second to drool over Pudi, which was kinda wrong but also hilarious. The Levi-directed episode found Chuck and Sarah infiltrating a nudist cult to retrieve a dangerous computer virus from a hippie as leverage to get their friend Casey out of jail. They were helped by their spy rival Gertrude (Carrie-Anne Moss, showing a rare playful side), who's miffed to realize she has feelings for Casey. It's probably too late to understand what all that means, but not to enjoy the goofy chemistry of this spy team and upcoming cameos from Brandon Routh, Stan Lee, Cheryl Ladd and Bo Derek. It's like the 1970s had sex with an iPod and out came "Chuck."
